Wall Space Gallery exhibition featuring Kim Kauffman

Wall Space Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA features selections from my Illumitones and Reductions portfolios in a two person exhibition: Kauffman & Heilweil | non representational. Wall Space states, “we look at ideas of abstraction, with two artists who take simple objects and make complex organic constructions. Kim Kauffman and Victoria Mara Heilweil craft unique visions, scanning objects connecting the physical and ephemoral. These graphic images become their own Rorschach tests, with emotional and sensory responses. “ I’m delighted to work with Crista Dix on this show. Please go take look!

From the Santa Barbara Independent fall arts preview: "You haven’t really funked with the Funk Zone until you’ve stopped in at wall space, the Santa Babara outpost of photography curator extraordinaire Crista Dix. Dix specializes in exhibiting fine-art photography that pushes the medium across all kinds of boundaries."

Center for Photographic Art CPA 8x 10 miniture exhibition

The Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, CA has invited select photographers to participate in a fundraising exhibition called “8X10” to support their educational and exhibition programs. I have contributed two photographs to this great event. When I visited CPA in 2011 for my Illumitones exhibition I was impressed with the scope of their exhibitons and workshops and the camaraderie of the Carmel photography community.
